Women's League

The Women's League team announced in March that they would no longer compete as of the 2023-24 season. This decision has now been reversed.

The HC Ladies Lugano are not defunct after all. The team will remain in the Women's League thanks to various partners. In their press release (relayed by the "Corriere del Ticino"), they state that they have three main goals for the future:

"The goal is to give continuity, credibility, and consistency to the team by working on three fronts: the first is to give girls and women the opportunity to be able to continue playing field hockey in a major team at the Swiss level, the second is to move from semi-professionalism to professionalism, and the third is to bring home the 9th title."
