As the ZSC Lions inform, Skylar Fontaine is no longer allowed to play for their women's team. Her work permit was not extended. Besides her hockey career with the Lions, the US-American was also working at a law firm.

Fontaine, 26, made 92 games for the Lions Frauen, recording 32 goals and 72 assists. Her most important goal might be the championship-deciding Game 5 overtime winner in the 2023 final against EV Bomo Thun. The same season, she was also elected "Best Defender" in swisshockeynews' PostFinance Women's League poll.
