As Rangers beat writer Andrew Gross (The Record) writes, Lapierre's chances on actually making the team for the upcoming season seem to be rather slim. As he explains, the Rangers also need players for the training camp because of their absences due to the World Cup of Hockey, which takes place from September 17 to October 1 in Toronto.

Maxim Lapierre has appeared in 21 games for HC Lugano in the past season. For the Bianconeri, the 31-year-old put up a total of eight points (three goals, five assists). (tme)
