Mike Vaskivuo joins Hockey Thurgau for the rest of the season

The 30-year-old Finnish-American forward had signed a two-year contract with Liiga team Vaasan Sport this summer. He played in four games for them, but was kept of the score sheet. This week, however, the deal was dissolved by mutual agreement. Both clubs have now come to a mutual understanding regarding the financial compensation for the player.

Last season, Vaskivuo played in Italy for SHC Fassa, scoring 25 goals and 30 assists in 40 games. The forward thus completes Hockey Thurgau's import-duo, consisting out of him and also recently acquired Eric Himelfarb. If everything goes according to plan, both will make their debut on Saturday.
