Three days after SC Bern dissolved the contract due to his physical condition, Kris Versteeg has returned to North America and has signed a PTO with the Edmonton Oilers.

Versteeg suited up in 63 games for the Carolina Hurricanes last season, before he was traded to the Los Angeles Kings at the end of February. For them, the 30-year-old Canadian forward appeared in another 19 games, in which he managed to put up nine goals and two assists.
