Jakub Stepanek has found a temporary home with HC Dynamo Pardubice. As the Czech team announces, they have signed the goaltender to a short-time contract valid until the end of October.

The 30-year-old goaltender is an emergency signing, as Pardubice's goaltending duo Brandon Maxwell and Martin Ruzicka are both out with injuries. The deal was set in place on Friday night.

Stepanek has been loaned to SC Bern in mid-December. The acquiring of the netminder became necessary after HC Lugano's Daniel Manzato, who was supposed to replace Marco Bührer, injured himself in the first game for SC Bern. Stepanek appeared in 31 games for SC Bern and was nominated for the NLA's 'Goaltender of the Year'- Award.
