What had already been rumored earlier, has now been confirmed. Despite several offers form KHL teams, Swedish forward Linus Klasen will join the Bianconeri as of next season.

"I had some very positive encounters with Patrick Fischer and Peter Andersson, a good feeling with Roland Habisreutinger and I got a great impression of the whole club", Klasen explains his decision. "I chose Lugano because they have a strong team and clear ideas and I am excited to get to be an important part of their future.”

In the last season, Klasen has racked up a total of 30 goals and 31 assists in 60 games with Luleå, which put him third overall in league scoring.

The 28-year-old has appeared in four NHL-games with the Nashville Predators and played a season with their AHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals, scoring 45 points in 47 games, before returning to play in his home country.
