The 19-year-old forward has reportedly signed a two-year contract with the Lions yesterday afternoon and will thus stay with them until the end of the 2017-18 season. Apparently, Lausanne was not the only club interested in obtaining his rights, EV Zug was also in the race.

As for Thomas Déruns and Paul Savary, whose contracts also expire this spring, they reportedly have agreed to a one-year deal. However, they had to take a significant pay cut in order to get another season with LHC. Simon Fischer and Eric Walsky are also at the end of their contract, but it is not yet certain that they will receive another offer.

In the defense, Philippe Rytz might get another shot for the upcoming season, but Lausanne still needs two more players to compensate for the departure of Laari Leger and Ralph Stalder. Apparently, HC Red Ice's Valentin Borlat, 23, is one of players the Lions are interested in signing for the upcoming season. (mso)

UPDATE Lausanne HC confirms the contract extension of Thomas Déruns and Paul Savary. They will both stay until the end of the 2016-17 season. Johnny Kneubuehler signs his first professional contract and will be a Lion until 2018. (mso) - 22 January 2016, 8:30 AM
