NLB - Rumors about David Stämpfli joining HC La Chaux-de-Fonds had been swirling around for the last few weeks. Now, HCC makes it official and signs him to a two-year contract including several undisclosed options.

The 24-year-old defenseman appeared in 16 games for EV Zug this season, but mostly played on loan with SC Langenthal this year, scoring four goals and two assists in 28 games. His contract will run through 2017.

Furthermore, HCC has also agreed to terms with defensemen Raphaël Erb, 23, and Patrick Zubler, 23 and goaltender Reto Giovannini, 23, on a two-year contract extension. 19-year-old defenseman Thomas Hoffmann, on the other hand, has signed on for one more year. His contract contains an option for an additional season.

Moreover, as Arcinfo reports, La Chaux-de-Fonds will soon confirm the signings of SC Langenthal's forward Daniel Carbis, 26, (nine points in 51 games) and veteran defenseman Sébastien Hostettler (14 points in 53 games), who would join the team from HC Red Ice. (mso)
