The ZSC Lions' home-grown talent has signed a new two-year contract which runs through the 2018-19 season. Geering had been courted by several teams from the National League A, among them EV Zug, HC Lugano, and HC Davos, as his agent Erich Wüthrich told Watson's Klaus Zaugg in mid-December.
Before the current season, the 26-year-old was named alternate captain for the Lions and has put up 17 points (six goals, eleven assists) in 36 games so far.
