While he still hopes to come to terms with the Detroit Red Wings, he is now "concentrating on being ready and finding the rhythm of the game".
The restricted free agent joined HC Lugano last weekend and will practice with them for the time being. The 2012 fourth-round pick has appeared in a total of 106 NHL games for the Red Wings, scoring 28 goals and 16 assists.
