NLA - The Finnish forward Juha-Pekka Hytönen was an important part of Lausanne HC's offensive game this season. Inspite of an out-clause for the KHL, he now has decided to stay with Lausanne.

Of course, the Lions were concerned, when the Finnish forward announced a couple of weeks ago that it was not certain, if he would return to Lausanne for the upcoming season.

However, the 32-year-old forward did not make use of his KHL out clause - which he could have done until yesterday, April 30th - and will now stay with LHC at least until the end of the next season. As Lausanne's team manager Jan Alston said to 24 heures, they did not offer Hytönen a raise in order to convince him to stay. The salary will remain the same.

Juha-Pekka Hytönen has scored 47 points in 55 games for Lausanne HC this season. His contract will run through 2015.
