As the Journal du Jura writes, Martin Steinegger will remain EHC Biel's team manager for the upcoming season. He will, however, only be responsible for the NLA team, whereas Biel will hire someone new for the youth sector.

Although EHC Biel confirms Steinegger in his job as team manager, the 44-year-old won't be on his own anymore. Whereas Steinegger will be supported by a scout when it comes to transfers of Swiss players, his main focus is going to be the signing of the import-players for the upcoming season.

In that respect, the signing of the Canadian forward Jacob Micflikier should be confirmed by the club soon, while Maxime Macenauer will only stay if Biel decides to go with five import-players next term. Moreover, EHC Biel also expects Jonas Hiller's decision in the upcoming days. So far, the 34-year-old goaltender of the Calgary Flames has not turned down their offer. (tme)
