While Tommi Santala's departure was officialised by EHC Kloten yesterday, his contract has yet to be terminated. This should happen by Friday, though.

As the Tages-Anzeiger reports, EHC Kloten is expected to be financially compensated by the future employer of the Finnish forward. In Russia rumors are circulating that Metallurg Magnitagorsk is apparently willing to pay CHF 250,000 to get Santala out of his contract. Lawyers (for Kloten member of the Board of Directors Michael Kloter) are currently looking at the situation.

But, as owner Hans-Ulrich Lehmann tells the same source, a financial compensation does not help the club much: the money will just go to the import-player they will have to sign in order to replace Santala. Kloten had announced yesterday that they would try to find a replacement as soon as possible.
