Medical Report

The 33-year-old forward has informed the Czech national team that he will not be able to play at the World Championship in Slovakia.

Has to take a break: Roman Červenka.

The forward, who has been a member of the ZSC Lions this season, has excused himself due to medical reasons. In an interview with iSport.cz (relayed by SwissHabs), Červenka says that he is not yet ready after having missed three months due to a lung embolism and having suffered from back pain towards the end of the season.

"I'm sorry to miss the championship, but now it really isn't possible," he says. Also because the 33-year-old still has to take blood thinners: "It's difficult with them. Health is a priority," Červenka explains. "I have to recover and get ready for next season." Where the Czech forward will play next season is not yet known.
