According to the Berner Zeitung, Blum not only sustained a concussion but also a broken nose as well as an injury to his AC joint, which might keep him away from game action for quite some time.
The 34-year-old Swiss-Japanese, who is currently playing his seventh consecutive year with SC Bern, has appeared in 19 games this season so far, recording two goals and ten assists.
