The Berner Zeitung already reported yesterday that contract negotiations for the 2019-20 season were not running smoothly between the Tigers and Anton Gustafsson, followed by an article by Klaus Zaugg (Watson) who wrote that the forward is on his way to Biel.

After these speculations, EHC Biel has announced the signing of the Swede with a Swiss license. He will join the club in summer on a two-year contract, lasting until 2021.

"I am looking forward to a smart center with good hands, good eyes even for the game without the puck and the necessary skills for battles in tight spaces", Biel's chief scout Thomas Roost comments the addition.

Gustafsson currently is in his eighth season in Switzerland. Seven of those have been with the Tigers, one with HC Fribourg-Gottéron (during which he also spent time with Färjestad BK in the SHL). The forward has put up 50 goals and 66 assists in 241 games for the Tigers and the Dragons.

As for Nico Dünner, Langnau's team manager Marco Bayer confirms to Zaugg that they are interested in the 24-year-old forward. Dünner has appeared in 20 games for SC Langenthal this season, recording one goal and ten assists. He is currently out of the lineup due to a foot fracture.
