Robbie Earl will thus play for the SCL Tigers at least until the end of the 2020-21 season. "He has a very good understanding of the game and has great scorer potential," Tigers team manager Marco Bayer comments on his newly acquired forward.

Earl is currently in his third season with EHC Biel. He has appeared in 147 games for them so far, recording 44 goals and 79 assists. It is his third team in Switzerland, as he already suited up for the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers and EV Zug from 2012 to 2015.

Moreover, the Tigers and assistant coach Rikard Franzén have agreed on a two-year contract extension. The Swede has been part of their coaching staff since summer. "We are happy that the successful coaching duo Ehlers-Franzén will be staying in the Emmental for two more years," Marco Bayer says.
