Staying with Lugano: Elia Riva

Extending his current deal, which would have taken him to 2020, Elia Riva will remain with HC Lugano for the next three years.
Starting out with the cantonal rival HC Ambrì-Piotta, the 21-year-old joined Lugano's youth department in 2011. He went through the remaining development stages with them and made his National League-debut in the 2016-17 season.
Since then, Riva has appeared in 109 games for the Bianconeri, recording five goals and four assists. He also suited up for the HCB Ticino Rockets 32 times, putting up four goals and ten assists. In addition, he was part of Swiss junior national teams numerous times and has also worn the dress of the men's team two times so far.
