According to the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, EV Zug would like Everberg to stay in Zug, but there is apparently a possibility he will return to Sweden: "Zug is the most beautiful stop in my career. But I will make a decision for my family." However, as Reto Kläy confirms to the newspaper, they are not negotiating with their players during the playoffs.

For the upcoming season, Zug has only one import player under contract with David McIntyre. The deals of Everberg, Brian Flynn, Carl Klingberg and Garrett Roe are all expiring. As for the latter, the Neue Zürcher Zeitung reiterates what was reported by the Luzerner Zeitung two weeks ago: Roe has apparently agreed to join the ZSC Lions.
