Marc-André Berset (RTS) already reported two weeks ago that Émond would be the new head coach of the Grenats. "It was a great way to end my coaching career. Two years ago that was not the case. I am grateful to be able to continue in the role of the [team's] architect," Chris McSorley tells Sport-Center's Grégory Beaud.
Emond, for his part, says he is looking forward to his new tasks, but he knows that it will be a "huge challenge to follow a man like Chris McSorley." However, he is confident that with the experience he has he will be able to meet this challenge.
He has been in Genève-Servette HC's organization since 2010. He has worked in the capacity of their Elite A head coach since then. In 2014, the Canadian also got the opportunity to take part in the Spengler Cup as an assistant coach. He has signed a two-year deal with the team.
