SC Bern has hired a new assistant coach.

The 40-year-old Finn most recently worked for the Finnish federation as assistant coach of the U20 juniors and was also a member of the staff of the U18 national team and the senior national team who won the World Championship title in May. Jukka Varmanen replaces Mikko Haapakoski who joined the Bears last summer as Ville Peltonen's successor. The future of Haapakoski is still open.
