With Koivisto, SC Bern has found the replacement of Adam Almquist, whose contract was not extended. The Finn is the fourth import-player under contract with the Bears for the upcoming season. The others are Andrew Ebbett, Mark Arcobello and Jan Mursak.
Last season, the 28-year-old played 54 games in the KHL for Dynamo Moskva, for which he scored 4 goals and put up 16 assists. Prior to that, Koivisto only played in Finland, for a total of 327 games and 147 points in the Liiga.
