Pulkkinen joins Lausanne HC from the KHL's Dinamo Minsk, where he played last season. He signed a try-out contract valid until September 8. During this time, the 27-year-old will take part in preseason- and Champions Hockey League-games.

The Finn made his first steps in professional hockey with Jokerit Helsinki ten years ago, when they still played in the Liiga. In 2010, he was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the fourth round, but would not depart overseas until about three years later. After five years in North America, Pulkkinen returned to Europe to play for Minsk.

In total, the forward has made 83 NHL-games (13 goals and nine assists), 284 AHL-games (135 goals and 122 assists) as well as 50 KHL-games (15 goals and 14 assists).
