They are, however, most of all making sure to put up "enough players to distribute the workload."

EHC Biel looking for solutions

As Martin Steinegger tells the Bieler Tagblatt, a player of the stature of Damien Brunner (out for three months, broken wrist) is currently not available on the market, which is why the main goal is to have enough players as not to overwork the rest of the roster. Some of EHC Biel’s junior players might potentially get the opportunity to play a couple of National League games.

Yannick Herren, who has been put on the market by Lausanne HC, is not a viable option at this time, as the Lions are looking for a trading partner and would thus not help EHC Biel to increase the number of players.

The Journal du Jura also suggests Kevin Fiala whose new deal with the Minnesota Wild has yet to be worked out (last possible signing date would be December 1). "This would, of course, be a perfect solution, but one should not dream. A player in his situation has everything to lose," Martin Steinegger states.
