GSHC's Douay suspended for one game for his hit against Künzle

The action that cost Floran Douay the suspension occurred in the 29th minute of Saturday's game between Genève-Servette HC and EHC Biel: Douay apparently checked Mike Künzle to the head. Nonetheless, the EHC Biel-forward was able to continue playing.

As revealed in the disciplinary report, Douay, hoping to prove that the minor penalty he received for that action was enough, submitted to the SIHF a chat session in which he apologized to Künzle, who responded: "Hey man, it's all good, you didn't really hit the head, so don't worry, have a good season too." However, as stated in the disciplinary report, the single judge considers that there is objective evidence with the video images, which show the hit to the head.
