National League

The Canadian defenseman has put his signature under a new two-year deal with the Lions.

A lion for two more years: Maxim Noreau.

Maxim Noreau's current two-year contract with the ZSC Lions would have run out at the end of the season, but the 32-year-old has already agreed to stay in Zurich at least for another two seasons.

"Maxim provides our game with important impulses," ZSC's team manager Sven Leuenberger explains. "He has been one of the most productive defenders in the National League for years."

The 32-year-old Canadian joined the Lions in 2018 coming from SC Bern. This season, he put up 17 points (six goals) in 21 games, which makes him by far the most productive defender on the team. On average, he is on the ice for 20:51 minutes per game.
