While team manager Sven Leuenberger has been observing the market for a while, the profile of the player he is looking for might have changed.

Who is going to be the Lions' sixth import-player?

According to Blick and the Tages-Anzeiger, Leuenberger is now thinking about acquiring an import-defenseman before the trade deadline on February 15. This is mostly due to the fact that Severin Blindenbacher, who suffered a concussion in the game against the SCL Tigers, likely will be out for a longer time.

Speaking of injured players: Lukas Flüeler has resumed on-ice practice. However, it is not yet clear when he will be able to return to the lineup. Until then, the Lions will have to continue to use one of their import-spots for Joni Ortio.

As a consequence, Swedish forward Fredrik Pettersson was scratched the last two games. He will be rotated in again for tonight's game against Genève-Servette HC.
