As rumored in the past days, the Swedish center has indeed left Färjestad BK in order to join HCL until the end of the season.

With Johan Ryno, HC Lugano has now six import-players.

Johan Ryno will complete the import-package of HC Lugano as the fourth forward currently under contract. The 33-year-old, who will arrive tonight in Lugano, has left Färjestad BK despite a contract valid for a couple of more months. HC Lugano has therefore used all eight licenses available for foreign players. With the team based in Karlstad, Ryno recorded 15 points (four goals) in 30 games this season.

Hnat Domenichelli, team manager of the Bianconeri: "Johan is a solid forward, with character and leadership skills. With his arrival, we have an extra alternative available for the final phase of the season and we are covered in all positions in case of injuries".

With the exception of a short stint in the AHL with the Grand Rapids Griffins in 2007-08, Ryno has always played in Sweden, recording 234 points in 380 SHL games, mainly with Leksands IF and Färjestad BK.
