With Lukas Flüeler only just back from injury and Joni Ortio sidelined, the ZSC Lions have signed Fredrik Pettersson Wentzel for the remainder of the season. Coming over from the SHL's IK Oskarshamm, the goaltender will figure as insurance in case of another injury in net.

Throughout his career, Pettersson Wentzel has mainly played in the SHL, with one season in the DEL. In 2017, he won the Swedish championship with HV71.

"Our coach Richard Grönborg knows Fredrik from his time with the Swedish junior national team. He is a physically strong and explosive goalie", the Lions' team manager Sven Leuenberger states.
