The Czech forward says in an interview with Ticinonews that he would even be willing to accept the role of a fifth import-player.

"I would gladly accept this solution," Jiří Novotný says when asked about the role of a fifth import-player. "Especially after experiencing how the club stood by me when I was injured last year, having a lot of patience with me." This past season, the 36-year-old only appeared in eight games for the Biancoblù due to injury.

Novotný also says that he has been in contact with coach Luca Cereda and team manager Paolo Duca lately, but: "It remains to be seen how much room for maneuver the club will have once this emergency situation is over."

Even though Novotny clearly states to Ticinonews that his priority is Ambrì, he also has several options back home: "If I don't return to the Leventina, I'd look forward to an alternative that will allow me to stay closer to my family. There's no way I'm going to stop playing, though."
