The Slovak is apparently done with the Bruins and has chosen the Bianconeri, as a source tells the online portal Boston Hockey Now.

After yesterday's rumor about HC Lugano being interested in Cehlárik (reported by the Corriere del Ticino), it seems as the club from the Ticino was successful in their pursuit. According to Boston Hockey Now, the 24-year-old will not return to the NHL for the upcoming season and has signed with the Bianconeri.

However, later in the day, HC Lugano denied the report of the North American news outlet. Peter Cehlarik, for his part, also took to his Instagram, stating that the rumors are not true but that there is a decision to be made for him in the near future.

Cehlárik was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the third round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. At the time, he was playing for Luleå and already had some SHL-games under his belt. In 2016, he signed his entry-level contract with Boston and moved overseas. Over the next four years, he mainly suited up for the Providence Bruins in the AHL, only making 40 appearances in the NHL (five goals and six assists).
