Having terminated his contract in the Leventina, the defenseman will continue his career at the shores of Lake Zürich.

New team for Julian Payr
HC Ambrì-Piotta

HC Ambrì-Piotta announced today that Julian Payr's contract has been terminated in mutual agreement. Signed last summer, it would still have continued for another year.

The 20-year-old will instead suit up for the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers for at least one season. The deal includes an option for a one-year extension on the team's side.

Austrian-born Payr has spent his hockey life in Switzerland so far and is in posession of a Swiss licence. As a junior, he suited up for SC Rheintal and later for HC Davos, where he also made his first of so far 41 National League games. Last season, he mainly suited up for the HCB Ticino Rockets in the Swiss League.

On another note, Roman Červenka's extension has been confirmed by the Lakers. The player already announced it yesterday via Instagram-post.
