Vladimir Sobotka has signed a short-term contract with the Lakers as a replacment for the injured forward Steve Moses. For now, Sobotka has signed a contract which is valid for one month. He will make his debut on October 16 against Genève-Servette HC after the mandatory quarantine period.

The Czech forward has played a total of 599 games in the NHL over the course of his career - for the Boston Bruins, the St. Louis Blues, and the Buffalo Sabres. Last season, he appeared in 16 games for the Sabres, in which he recorded three points (one goal).
