National League

This year's ninth overall NHL Entry Draft pick joins the National League team until the start of the Wild's training camp.

The Lions - soon with Marco Rossi among them

Signed to an entry-level deal by the Minnesota Wild a few days ago, Marco Rossi has been loaned to the ZSC Lions. He will be recalled once the NHL-team starts their preseason camp, as the Austrian newspaper Der Standard writes.

Rossi spent four years in the Lions' organization, mostly as a junior player. He is in possession of a Swiss player's licence and thus does not count against the import limit. In 2017, he made his Swiss League debut with the GCK Lions and played 18 games for them that season. The following summer, he went overseas to join the OHL's Ottawa 67's. In this years' NHL Entry Draft, the Austrian was selected ninth overall by the Wild.

"After the many months in the weight room and the hard work with my personal coach Max Cavada, I feel ready for the tasks ahead. Now I have to gather as much playing practice as possible and take the next step on the ice. I am very happy that the loan contract with Zurich worked out. At this point I would also like to thank Minnesota Wild General Manager Bill Guerin", Rossi is quoted by the source.
