HC Fribourg-Gottéron will likely not have to worry about looking for an import defenseman next season, as their current one will presumably stick around, La Liberté writes.

Signed until summer, Ryan Gunderson's contract includes an option for an additional year, based on games played this season. Christian Dubé is confident about the matter. "Ryan will still be here next season, I'm not worried. Loyalty is very important to him. What's more, he likes it here", the head coach and team manager states.

This sentiment is confirmed by Gunderson. "I like the team, I like the guys. I have offensive freedom since Christian has been coaching us. In Fribourg, I've found what I came here for: playing time and responsibility, especially on the power play."
