As the Tages-Anzeiger reports, everyone has come to realize that to pause the championship is not the way to go. "We plan in phases," Denis Vaucher, Director of the National League, states.

In December and January, they plan two rounds per week so they can fit in the games which could not be played due to teams being in quarantine. They want to increase the rhythm again in February and in March.

Under review are also the national team get-togethers in December and in February. "If the clubs are struggling to survive, there is no point in rounding up players from all over Switzerland," ZSC's CEO Peter Zahner said. "We have to minimize the risks."
