As he tells the SonntagsBlick, his body has now shown him that it is time to put an end to his career. Félicien Du Bois is currently recovering from yet another severe injury and it remains to be seen if he will be able to return to the ice for one last time this season.

"I've never dreamed of a picture-perfect ending to my career," the defenseman states. "The current situation is of course. not my dream scenario, but the current situation in the world shows us that there are much worse fates than mine."

While his recovery is going well, it is not yet clear whether he will be able to hit the ice again for HC Davos, not least because he wants to reach a level high enough to help his team. "I have a lot of respect for what it takes to get back to that level," Du Bois says. "If I get back on the ice and I can no longer keep up with the 20-year-olds, it would hurt me more."
