Magnus Nygren will be at the end of his contract with HC Davos at the end of this season.

Magnus Nygren

As the 30-year-old defenseman tells HockeyNews.se, HC Davos has made clear that they are interested in keeping him. Nygren is, however, in no hurry to make a decision: "I will just focus on playing well, and I hope to have a top job next season as well and I think I will do. I have not decided where it will be."

Färjestad BK is also interested in the defenseman, but, according to Nygren, they are not in contract negotiations. As HockeyNews.se reports, a KHL team and three other Swiss teams have also thrown their hats into the ring, but Nygren was not willing to comment on that particular report.

In other news, it looks like Nygren's teammate Dominic Buchli will temporarily reinforce the SCL Tigers' defense. According to Klaus Zaugg (Watson), he might suit up for them on Saturday against the ZSC Lions.

The 22-year-old defenseman has split his time between HC Davos and the HCB Ticino Rockets this time. A stint in Langnau might give him the opportunity to gain a bit more ice time.
