According to the Südostschweiz, it looks like Magnus Nygren might extend his deal with HC Davos. Apparently, it is too early for him to return to Sweden, and signing with another Swiss team was never seriously considered by him.
While HC Davos now expects to be able to hold Nygren, who has recorded twelve goals and 18 assists in 39 games this season, in the Landwassertal, the KHL seems to be the only alternative option for the Swede.
In January, HockeyNews.se reported that, apart from SHL team Färjestad BK, a KHL team and three Swiss teams (among them SC Bern and EV Zug) were interested in the defenseman. According to the Südostschweiz, Färjestad even offered a multi-year deal to Nygren.
