"I'm very happy to be back home. The staff, the players and a Tissot Arena on fire is all I want," Gaëtan Haas says about his new five-year deal with EHC Biel. He is sure that a lot will be possible: "This team has what it takes to be successful and I want to do my part."
Team Manager Martin Steinegger is convinced that Haas is going to take the team to a new level: "Haas has made further progress in the last four years, both defensively and offensively. With the experience he has gained, Gaëtan will be a team leader."
The now 29-year-old left EHC Biel back in 2017 in direction of SC Bern. After two seasons in the capital city, he tried his luck overseas and joined the Edmonton Oilers. In the past two seasons, he appeared in 95 games in the NHL (seven goals, six assists).
