National League

However, the National League team has only made an offer to HC Davos for a loan agreement.

According to Klaus Zaugg (Watson), HC Ajoie is the only club thus far to issue a concrete offer for Robert Mayer to HC Davos. Mayer would, however, not be considered their number 1 goalie, that role belongs to Tim Wolf.

According to Zaugg, another goaltender for them might be HC Lugano's Stefan Müller. Team manager Hnat Domenichelli is apparently looking to find a new employer for him or someone who is willing to take Müller on a loan basis.

As for Robert Mayer, who - despite a valid contract with HC Davos - is not in the plans of the National League team for the upcoming season, Klaus Zaugg suggests that HC Ambrì-Piotta, Genève-Servette HC, the SCL Tigers, or HC Lugano might be a fit for him. However, representatives of the latter two teams already told Zaugg that Mayer is not in their plans as of yet.

Robert Mayer might also become an option for the ZSC Lions in the 2022-23 season, as the contract of Lukas Flüeler expires at the end of the upcoming season.

Mayer's deal is valid until the end of the 2024-25 season and he is not agreeing to be bought out of his contract unless Davos is willing to pay his future earnings in full. Also, even if Davos accepts one of the offers issued to them by other teams, Mayer will still have to agree to it in order for the deal to work.
