The SIHF has announced the three candidates for the award as Most Valuable Player of the 2020-21 regular season.

Linus Omark, who in the meantime has left Geneva for the 2021-22 season, collected 61 points in 49 championship games for Genève-Servette HC, recording thus an average of 1.24 points per game.

For his part, Jan Kovář already earned the title as top scorer of the league in the past regular season, with two more points than Omark, but in three more games. In the playoffs then, Kovář led EV Zug to the championship victory, showing again great leadership skills.

The only Swiss in the run for the award is Sven Andrighetto. The forward of the ZSC Lions scored 27 goals in 52 games, the most by any player in the past regular season, to which he added 28 assists. From January 8 to February 26, Andrighetto posted at least one point in 19 consecutive games.

The winner will be announced on Thursday, September 2.
