The SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers have found a replacement for Steve Moses, who misses the upcoming season due to injury.

Canadian forward Zack Mitchell moves from Russia to Switzerland, as he suited up in the KHL during the past two seasons. Last year he started the season with Dinamo Riga (24 games, six goals, three assists) and then joined Dinamo Minsk for the remainder of the season (21 games, five goals, 12 assists).

Zack Mitchell also has some NHL games on record. Prior to his stint in Russia, he played 34 games for the Minnesota Wild, scoring three goals and two assists. However, the 28-year-old mostly suited up in the AHL throughout his time in North America.

As a replacement for Steve Moses, who is out with a ruptured Achilles tendon for five to nine months, Mitchell signs a contract untill the end of the season.
