National League

Putting an end to his NHL time for the moment, the forward has signed a four-year deal in the National League.

After spending the 2020-21 season with Lausanne HC on loan from the Toronto Maple Leafs, Denis Malgin is again returning to Switzerland. This time around, he will be part of the other Lions, the ones from Zurich.

Malgin's former team, the ZSC Lions, have inked the forward to a four-year contract. Before leaving for North America in 2016, he was part of their organization and made his National League debut with them.

"It is a unique opportunity when a player like Denis is on the market. He is one of us and also a promising transfer in view of the new Swiss Life Arena," team manager Sven Leuenberger states.

With Lausanne, Malgin put up 21 goals and 24 assists in 49 games. During his time in the NHL, the 24-year-old recorded 28 goals and 32 assists in 192 appearances.
