The 27-year-old defenseman has signed a four-year contract with the Bianconeri, valid until the end of the 2025-26 season.

There had been rumors for a while that Calle Andersson would leave SC Bern despite a valid contract. The Bears' team manager Andrew Ebbett confirmed to the Berner Zeitung that they were in talks with HC Lugano regarding the defender.

Last week, Klaus Zaugg (Watson) then reported that they had come to an agreement with each other and that the deal would be valid for four years.

Andersson, who has been part of SC Bern's organization since 2016, has won two titles with the Bears and one Swiss Cup. This season, the Swede, who is in possession of a Swiss players' license, recorded five goals and 15 assists in 49 games.
