The 20-year-old forward, whose season with the Québec Remparts ended last week, will take his time to evaluate his options.

Théo Rochette has signed a two-year contract with Lausanne HC, but he had already made clear earlier this year that that would not necessarily mean that he returns to Switzerland come autumn.

"At the end of the day, it will be my decision. [...] Both paths are very good paths. The Swiss league is one of the best in Europe and it would not be a bad path for me, far from it," Rochette tells TVA Sports. "There are many examples of guys who went there and came back to North America. I also know that junior can be a very good springboard and profitable for young players like me. Those are both good options and we'll talk about it."

Rochette, who captained the Remparts this season, recorded 33 goals and 66 assists in 66 regular-season games and added two goals and twelve assists to his tally in the postseason.
