It has been reported a few times already that Cory Conacher is not part of SC Bern's plans for the coming season, despite still being signed for another year. As team manager Andrew Ebbett now tells Watson's Klaus Zaugg, they have found a solution: "He returned to Canada and we terminated his contract."

Conacher joined the Bears in February of 2021. It was his second stint with them, the 32-year-old already suited up in black and yellow during the 2015-16 season, where Bern managed to win the championship from the last playoff spot.

Ebbett also once again confirmed that they are still trying to find a solution for Kaspars Daugavins and intend to sign one more import defender and two additional import forwards.
