It has already been anticipated by several newspapers that Hartikainen will join Genève-Servette HC as their sixth and final import player for the upcoming season. This reports have now been confirmed by the Grenats.

Teemu Hartikainen, who won gold at this year's Olympics and the World Championship with Finland, played for Salavat Yulaev Ufa for the past nine seasons. Last season, he recorded 13 goals and twelve assists in 42 games for the KHL team.

Team manager Marc Gautschi says: "Teemu is a very consistant scorer which he has proven on national and international stage. His physical style in front of the goal will help us."

With this signing GSHC's import-player contingent for the upcoming season is complete. Besides Hartikainen, Henrik Tömmernes ((SWE)), Daniel Winnik ((CAN)), Linus Omark ((SWE)), and his Finnish compatriots Sami Vatanen and Valtteri Filppula will suit up for the Grenats.
