HC Ajoie acquired Martin Bakoš due to the continued absence of Jonathan Hazen, who is currently sidelined by an injury. Bakoš has mostly played in the KHL in the last couple of years.
Last season, the forward recorded nine goals and seven assists in 36 games for HK Sochi. He finished the season in the Czech Extraliga with HC Oceláři Třinec, putting up two goals and one assist in eleven regular-season games.
